Kellogg's Gives Back to the Community
Kellogg's Company has recently focused its efforts in a new community relations program. Kellogg's has joined 30 other partners in the "Partnership to Play Everyday Initiative". The focus of this program is to encourage the children and youth to engage in at least 60 minutes of physical activity a day. This is a smart decision for Kellogg's to support this program because eating healthy and exercising go hand in hand in leading a healthy lifestyle. Kellogg's can promote their healthy snacks and cereals such as Special K cereal and granola bars. Kellogg's offers a variety of products for people dealing with different health issues such as heart health, digestive health and shape management. Kellogg's really benefits from this initiative because it helps them promote their healthy snacks and give a positive spin on their reputation. Many people see Kellogg's as a "sugary cereal" company but really they have an extensive collection of products that promote healthy life styles. Kellogg's will donate 1 million dollars to YMCA of the USA to help this cause and if necessary additional donations to other physical activity programs. The YMCA will also be promoting this event and cause. Kellogg's has put its new release up on their website to make the public aware of this event.
